Just Do It Tired

Who am I?

I’m not extraordinary in any way. I’m as average as people come. There’s nothing about me that sets me apart from others. My determination level is normal. My ability to complete a task is normal. I’m not an influencer and, truthfully, I’m not even sure what that is since I am on no social media platforms. I’m not competitive unless it’s against myself. There’s a part of me that is overshadowed because I weighed in at over 310 lbs. I’m proud of my weight loss and fitness journey but I’m also sad I missed out on a lot of life and that, I’m not proud of. I actively work at keeping that feeling behind me. I’m happy I get to be new.

Why this Blog?

Just Do It Tired comes from a specific moment. I was well into my weight loss journey when I was swimming early one Saturday morning. My coach’s husband jumped into the lane next to me. We swam for a while. During a rest stop, we talked for a bit. He asked, “What do you have going on today?” I told him I had my usual 8 mile hike through the Santa Rosa Mayacamas mountains next. He replied, “How do you do that?” I simply said, “I just do it tired.” This phrase has become my transformational mantra.
